Brendan Daly enters his third season as the Rams defensive line coach having greatly improved the unit during his second year. Under Daly’s supervision, the unit increased its sack total to 43, the seventh-best total in the NFL and a sizeable increase on the team’s 2009 total of 35. 11-year veteran DT Fred Robbins, in his first year with the Rams, collected a career-high 6.0 sacks and added 24 tackles. DEs Chris Long and James Hall each had career years as well. Long posted a career-high 8.5 sacks and led the Rams with 16 quarterback hits and 21 quarterback pressures. Hall led the team with 10.5 sacks, the secondhighest total of his career (11.5 in 2004), and also recorded 57 tackles.
