“Rodger was much better,” Head Coach Jeff Fisher said. “It’s good to get him out, get him in pads, and get him going. We’ll continue to watch him with expectations that he should be able to play.”
As the team broke camp, practice ended with some fun for everyone as Coach Fisher orchestrated his annual ‘Dizzy Bat’ competition. Veterans oversaw the playful competition that featured Rams rookies and football operations interns. According to Fisher, it was Cunningham who stole the show.
“It’s the worst I’ve ever seen,” said Fisher. “It’s interesting that with a football in his hand, under normal circumstances, he’s got great balance.”
The Rams closed training camp with a 70 percent increase in attendance from last season’s camp. Up next, the Rams will travel to Sports Authority Field at Mile High to take on the Denver Broncos in their third preseason game. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
