Wake Up Sprinting: The Future is Now

Posted Aug 7, 2014

Read about how the Rams spent their final practice preparing for Friday's game, Tay Awesome is taking over and much more.

One day.

That’s how long we have until football returns to the Edward Jones Dome for the first time in 2014.

Thank goodness.

FINAL TOUCHES

The Rams took the field for a closed, non-contact special teams practice yesterday morning to put the final touches on tomorrow night’s preseason game against the New Orleans Saints. You can read all about the practice here, but it’s worth noting former Rams Torry Holt and Grant Wistrom stopped by practice.

Expect to see a full preview of tomorrow night’s game, including a look back at Jo-Lonn Dunbar and Gregg Williams’ time with the Saints on www.stlouisrams.com later today. Also, tickets are still available for the game and can be purchased here or by calling (314) RAMS-TIX.

TAY AWESOME

If you have seen any of our helmet cam videos from OTAs or training camp, you’re well aware Tay Awesome has emerged as a celebrity. After Casey Phillips uncovered the origin of Tavon’s alter ego, we strapped a camera to his helmet at #RamsFanFest, played his favorite song and show off his moves. Take a look below.

WHAT THE HEKK?

We’re still a week or so away from the debut of Johnny Hekker’s new radio show alongside Casey Phillips, but their awesome one-on-one following yesterday’s practice should provide a glimpse of what’s to come.

#DEFENDOURTURF

In case you missed it, we unveiled a pretty incredible marketing campaign on www.stlouisrams.com yesterday with an emphasis on the phrase “Defend Our Turf”. Check out the awesome superhero illustrations we created for seven Rams, as well as the first four commercials set to hit your television this week. Here's a look at the commercial featuring "The Beast", Chris Long.
