HASSELHOFF AWARD -
The wide receiver has made headlines with his standout camp performance, but no one has shown more skin than Kenny Britt during camp. His cutoff tees and pulled-up jerseys showing off that six pack have become the stuff of legend in and around Rams Park.
BEST DANCER AWARD -
Tay Awesome definitely gets this year’s Best Dancer Award for undoubtedly being so smooth with his routine. Have you seen him dance? If you haven't, he's done it in nearly every helmet cam video -- with more to come.
Between his neatly flowing dreads and nice blue shorts, there’s little doubt as to who looked good on the practice field day in and day out during camp. True, there’s only so much you can do with a team uniform, but somehow Jenkins always made it look good.
JORTS AWARD -
It’s hard to question a man who has 19 sacks in a season, but in this case it has to be done. Each day of camp, Quinn came out wearing long sleeves and pants as the worst-dressed player on the team. Even when the temperature was 90-plus degrees on the last few days, Quinn came out completely inappropriately dressed for the weather.
But, again, the man had 19 sacks last season. He probably knows what he’s doing.
MR. ROGERS AWARD -
It’s always nice to have a friendly neighbor you can count on, and throughout camp, Long has proven himself to be just that. Whether it’s calling a truce on a Twitter beef with Tavon Austin, or -- more importantly -- always being there to sign autographs for kids after practice, Long has proven himself to be the Rams’ own Mr. Rogers.
CALL ME, MAYBE AWARD -
We’ve talked before about Westbrooks, but there’s something to be said for an undrafted free agent from a Division-II school coming in and making an impact. It’s not quite clear whether or not he’ll ultimately make the 53-man roster, but Westbrooks has shown enough to warrant the possibility of him sticking around.
MOST IMPROVED AWARD -
If you missed his terrific deep catch against Green Bay, you’ve surely at least heard by now how good Quick has looked during camp practices. Quick’s progression has been steady, and it looks like he’s going to make a real impact on the Rams’ offense in 2014.
It’s hard to pick just one player who has stood out as during camp because there are so many candidates. It could’ve been Kenny Britt, who has come in and shown flashes of brilliance. It could’ve been the always excellent Robert Quinn. It could’ve been rookies
But when it comes down to it, Sam has done so much to return from a season-ending ACL tear and he has looked as good as he ever has. He’s said all along that he feels great, and his performance against the Packers backed those words up with action. And that’s why the Rams’ starting quarterback is this year’s most impressive player at camp.
