St. Louis Rams To Host Baltimore Ravens

-- Final 2012 preseason game will start at 6 p.m., one hour earlier than previously scheduled --

ST. LOUIS – Tomorrow’s St. Louis Rams versus Baltimore Ravens game will kick off at 6 p.m. A limited number of tickets remain, and can be purchased at www.stlouisrams.com/tickets or at the Edward Jones Dome box office beginning tomorrow at 10 a.m. The game will air on KTVI-Fox 2 in St. Louis. The game will also be broadcast on 101 ESPN.

Below are some of the highlights taking place:

Rams and NFL Celebrate USA Football Month
For the fourth consecutive year, the Rams and the NFL recognize USA Football as the sport’s expert in youth player development and coaching education, highlighted this year by the launch of Heads Up Football, which emphasizes a smarter and safer way to play and teach youth football, including proper tackling and taking the head out of the game.

USA Football Month will be promoted and celebrated by the Rams and league-wide throughout the NFL’s preseason as youth football leagues across St. Louis and the country return to play.

Four local youth football teams will take the field during pregame and four local youth football teams will take the field during halftime. During pregame, the Breese Youth Football team will face the Germantown/Bartelso Youth Football Team, and the Fairview Heights 5th grade will square off against the Fairview Heights 6th grade then all four teams will join the St. Louis Rams on the sidelines during the national anthem. During halftime, the Mascoutah Little Indians will face the Alton Renegades, and the JCYA Tigers will square off against the Waterloo Bulldogs. The program is part of the Rams’ commitment to youth football.

Local youth football players and coaches will be featured during in game video promotions throughout the game.

Rams Recognize Two during Soldier Salute
During the 2nd quarter, the Rams will recognize two soldiers from the Wounded Warrior Project in the north end zone.

SPC Caleb Huskey grew up in Sullivan, MO and graduated from Meramec Valley Baptist Church in May of 2004.  He is currently in the Missouri Army National Guard with the 1138th MCT out of Jefferson Barracks.  After joining in October of 2009 at 24 years old, Caleb deployed to Afghanistan in March of 2011 and was injured on August 19, 2011 due to an IED roadside bomb. 

Sgt. Johnathan Arnold joined the Missouri National Guard in June of 2006 at the age of 21. In August of 2006, Sgt. Arnold went to Basic Training and graduated from Advanced Individual training in December of 2006. He deployed to Iraq in May of 2007 with the 735th Combat Support Team, Sgt. Arnold worked with the 1st Army 120th Infantry Brigade from September of 2008 until September of 2010 where he assisted in the training of more than 44,000 deploying reservist soldiers from the Air Force, Army and Navy for deployments to Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan.  In March of 2011, Sgt. Arnold deployed to Afghanistan where he was injured on August 19 2011 due to an IED roadside bomb.

Rams Players Purchase Tickets for Youth to Attend Game
The following players have purchased tickets to each of the Rams home games so local youth can experience the thrill of an NFL Game: Michael Brockers, Craig Dahl, Harvey Dahl, Quintin Mikell, Bradley Fletcher, Robert Quinn, Sam Bradford, Jo-Lonn Dunbar, Scott Wells, William Hayes, Quinn Ojinnaka, James Laurinaitis, Chris Givens, Austin Pettis, Rodger Saffold, Isaiah Pead, Robert Turner, Darian Stewart, Rocky McIntosh, Mario Haggan, Eugene Sims, Cortland Finnegan, Lance Kendricks, Kendall Langford, Josh Hull and Steven Jackson.
