PLAY 60 Ambassadors to Be Recognized on the Field
As the team celebrates its PLAY 60 game on Sunday, the Rams will welcome PLAY 60 ambassadors who have taken the pledge to live a healthy life. PLAY 60 is a league wide effort to fight childhood obesity by encouraging kids to be active for at least 60 minutes a day. The 12 PLAY 60 ambassadors will help the cheerleaders form the player tunnel during team introductions.
Many of the PLAY 60 ambassadors are also involved in the Fuel Up to PLAY 60 initiative or the NFL’s Play 60 Challenge. Fuel Up to Play 60, created in partnership with the National Dairy Council and the National Football League, empowers youth to take actions to improve nutrition and physical activity at their school and for their own health. The NFL Play 60 Challenge is a six-week fitness challenge implemented in partnership with the American Heart Association. The classroom-based program challenges youth to be active 60 minutes every day, 30 minutes at home and 30 minutes at school. Both programs help school children learn the importance of good nutrition and physical exercise. To get your school involved and join the movement, visit www.stlouisrams.com/Play60.
