Each year, the St. Louis Regional Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals holds an awards luncheon to honor individuals and organizations in the metropolitan
In 2010, the St. Louis Rams became the first sports team recognized by the AFP as they were presented with the Outstanding Philanthropic Organization award during the National Philanthropic Day celebration. The award ceremony marked the 30th anniversary of the AFP acknowledging those who perpetuate uplifting aspirations and initiatives.

One of the more notable community efforts of the Rams is the team’s monthly Staff Days of Service program. Since its introduction in 2009, the front office staff of the Rams have contributed over 4,077 hours to a number of local non-profits, including; American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, Animal Protection Association of Missouri, Almost Home, Baskets of Hope, Giant Steps of Greater St. Louis, Greenwood Cemetery, Food Outreach, Heat Up St. Louis, Lydia’s House, Metro East Humane Society, Operation Food Search, The Rams Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, Salvation Army Tree of Lights, St. Louis Crisis Nursery, Urban League, The Women’s Safe House, Youth in Need and more.
These Staff Days of Service are only the beginning of the Rams’ contributions. The Rams also partner with many non-profits to host events where they utilize their ability as a professional sports team to raise both awareness and funds for causes important to their fans and fellow citizens. Among the many events are: the Make-A-Wish Celebrity Server Dinner, Rams Blood Drive, Komen St. Louis Race for the Cure, Motion for Kids Holiday Party, Taste of the NFL and the Kickoff for Charity Luncheon.
