BACKGROUND:
As he continues to immerse himself in his new community, Rams head coach Jeff Fisher will host his annual “Jeff Fisher & Friends” Celebrity Softball Game in the St. Louis area for the first time. The event is one Fisher established during his time in Nashville as a way to benefit charity and engage fans. Now in St. Louis, the game will support five organizations: The BackStoppers, The Snow Foundation, Mercy Ministries, Wounded Warriors Project and Catch-A-Dream Foundation.
The evening will start with a little league game at 5:30 p.m., followed by a home run derby at 6:30 p.m. In the derby, select players will square off against each other in a feat of power. The softball game will begin at 7:30 p.m. with head coach Jeff Fisher leading a team against a squad led by offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. The evening will conclude with a fireworks display immediately following the game.
In addition to the Rams players and alumni, who are competing in the softball game, Rams rookies, cheerleaders and Rampage will be available for photos and autographs throughout the night. There will also be a silent auction and raffle to win the players’ jerseys off their back.
Tickets are on sale for $10 and may be purchased at www.gatewaygrizzlies.com or at the Gateway Grizzlies box office.
