Week 9 – Tyler Detmer, Mater Dei Catholic High School
The Mater Dei Knights continued their winning ways on their path to the IHSA playoffs with a 48-21 victory over Newton.
Quarterback Tyler Detmer led the potent offensive attack for the Knights, completing 23 passes for 381 yards and four touchdowns. The senior also rushed for 26 yards on five carries.
Detmer will be honored for his efforts as the Rams player of the week during the 2010 St. Louis Rams High School Football Awards banquet.
