High School Coach Of The Week: Sorell Harvey

WEEK 7 – Sorell Harvey, Miller Career Academy

After trailing 14-0 at halftime to powerhouse DeSmet, Miller Career Academy took over in the second half and never looked back as they improved to 6-0 with a 20-17 victory.

Head Coach Sorell Harvey’s squad outscored the Spartans 20-3 in the second half behind a 34 yard touchdown pass and pair of touchdown runs from quarterback DeMarco Billups. Linebackers Lamore Wise and Julian Armendrez along with defensive end Jason Slater led a second half defensive assault that allowed only a field goal.

The Miller Career Academy football team will receive a $1,000 grant from the NFL Youth Football Fund on behalf of Coach Harvey’s efforts as the Rams High School Coach of the week.
