On Friday, February 8, St. Louis Rams fans can join team executives, cheerleaders and Rampage as celebrity greeters for the 13th annual Hardee’s “Rise and Shine for HEAT 2013” campaign. Throughout area Hardee’s restaurants, volunteers will be stationed in dining rooms, parking lots and drive-thru lanes to accept donations from customers to benefit Heat-Up St. Louis.
All the donations collected from the event will remain in the communities in which they were dropped off to help those struggling to cover their electric bills during the winter months. In addition, any customer donating $1 or more will receive a Hardee’s Sausage and Egg Biscuit or Egg Biscuit sandwich.
Last year, more than 550 public officials, corporate leaders and media members volunteered to serve as celebrity greeters. The effort resulted in more than $95,000 being raised for Heat-Up St. Louis, a record for the event.
The Rams have joined with Heat Up St. Louis over the years to assist in their mission of helping area elderly and disabled people, and low-income families, with their delinquent heating bills. Rams players, cheerleaders and executives have shown their support through appearances in public service announcements, and the staff has volunteered through the team’s Staff Days of Service program.
