The St. Louis Rams wrap up their preseason road schedule as they travel to Denver Saturday night for a nationallytelevised game against the Broncos.
Saturday’s game marks the ninth preseason meeting between the two teams with Denver holding a 6-2 advantage in the preseason series. The Rams and Broncos have not faced each other in the preseason since 1998, and the Rams’ last preseason trip to Denver came in 1989. The two teams last played in the regular season in 2010, a game the Rams won in Denver, 36-33.
As is typical of the third preseason game, the Rams’ starters are expected to see their most action to date when the team takes the field Saturday night. That means the spotlight will be on fourth-year QB Sam Bradford. In limited action this summer, Bradford has been sharp. He’s completed 65 percent of his passes and racked up 258 yards on just 20 attempts. His passer rating through two games is 125.0, and he’s twice connected with WR Chris Givens for a play of 50 yards or more.
