Day 3 - Play 60 at Pearl Harbor
Hello Rams fans!
We just completed day three here in Hawaii, and what a busy day it was! The rest of the Pro Bowl Cheerleaders and I started with an early morning breakfast and then we headed to Aloha Stadium to practice on the field. Walking into the stadium was such a surreal experience! We were all so excited to be here to represent our teams and could not wait for Sunday! It was a long and hot day, and a few of us had to adjust to cheering without a climate controlled dome! Regardless of the heat, we had such an amazing time.
Right after rehearsal, we had the privilege of going to Pearl Harbor for a Play 60 event for children of military families who are stationed there. Several Pro Bowl players were on site to sign autographs and run "drills" with the kids while we taught a group of girls a sideline routine. One of the most memorable moments I will take with me is when we were signing autographs and a young girl looked at us and said, "I am so honored that you are here.” It took us by surprise because we were the ones who felt so grateful for the experience. It was so touching and humbling. It made us step back and realize what being an NFL cheerleader is all about. One of the best parts of this job is having the opportunity to reach out to members of the military and do what we can to thank them for their service.
After the Play 60 event, we had some free time and were finally able to go to the beach, where I was able to meet even more Rams fans! We ended the evening with a team dinner at Dave and Buster's, where we took advantage of the chance to get to know even more about one another. I am more amazed each day at what incredible women I am surrounded by here in Hawaii, and I am so honored to be here!
Aloha!
