The Last Time

Edward Jones Dome, November 25, 2007 (65,423) - The Rams returned to the Edward Jones Dome for the first time in a month to take on NFC West rival Seattle, falling to the Seahawks by a final score of 24-19. WR Isaac Bruce’s first quarter touchdown catch moved him past Art Powell for 17th place on the NFL’s all time receiving touchdowns list. K Jeff Wilkins converted two extra point attempts, moving past Mark Mosley for 21st place on the NFL’s all-time extra points list. The Rams got off to a fast start defensively, with LB Will Witherspoon sacking Seattle QB Matt Hasselbeck on both the second and third plays of the game, forcing a three-andout by the Seahawks. After P Donnie Jones pinned the Seahawks on their own 2-yard line with a 41-yard punt following the Rams first possession, rookie DL Adam Carriker
brought down Seattle RB Maurice Morris in the end zone for a safety, giving the Rams an early 2-0 lead and their first safety since 2005. On the next play from scrimmage, RB Steven Jackson broke the longest run of his career, going 53 yards for the score and putting the Rams on top 9-0. After trading touchdown strikes with Seattle, Wilkins connected on his only field goal attempt of the game, extending the
Rams lead to 12 points midway through the second quarter. With Seattle threatening in the red zone late in the first half, S O.J. Atogwe recorded his fourth interception of the year to regain possession for the Rams. After the half, a pair of Seahawk touchdowns and a Josh Brown field goal put Seattle on top by five, 24-19. With just 30 seconds remaining, the Seahawks were able to stop the Rams on fourth and
goal from the 1-yard line, holding on for victory.
