Newspapers in Education: Rams Effect

Every year the Rams partner with the St. Louis Post Dispatch for a Rams Reading program through Newspapers in Education. The Rams and the Post-Dispatch launched the Rams Effect program through this platform in 2012 to encourage students to get involved in their communities by reading about the community involvement of their favorite Rams players and cheerleaders. Participating classrooms receive access to daily coverage from the Post-Dispatch as well as a weekly Rams themed reading piece and curriculum. Classes are encouraged to enter the Rams Effect contest and submit their classroom community service projects. The top 10 classes whose community service projects are chosen will receive 100 tickets to a Rams home game. In addition, the grand prizewinner will receive a Rams player appearance! For more information on how your class can participate in the Rams Effect program, email Rachel at rtoby@rams.nfl.com.

Character Education

The Rams, in partnership with CHARACTERplus, have created a website for educators to help integrate character education into their classrooms. The resource features videos of Rams players reflecting on the qualities of respect, responsibility and perseverance. Click here to visit the Huddle-Up site.
