Tricia came to St. Louis to attend Washington University for her undergraduate degree in elementary education and dance.  She continued her education at Webster University to obtain her master’s degree in teaching and also received a reading specialist certification.  Tricia currently works in the Special School District as a reading specialist and a literacy coach for three schools in the district.  Her role is to focus on students who need the most intensive support in improving their literacy skills and work closely with collaborative teachers to design and create effective instructional activities and learning experiences. She absolutely loves her job and continues to help others with her role as a volunteer with the Special Olympics of Missouri.  Tricia loves to see the smiles on the faces of her students who participate in Special Olympics of Missouri.  In the future, Tricia aspires to obtain a Ph.D. in Educational Public Policy and Planning to learn more about unique ways to teach and learn.
