By Sarah Rouland Does this headline phrase leave you confused? Other fundamental questions may include: why does the clock continue to run during game time but stop as well? 3rd and 2? 4th and 10? What does that mean? What’s the difference between a down and a touchdown? Most situations become more enjoyable if you can understand the fundamentals. The Rams agree, and in response, are excited to announce the return of the consistently popular Football University. In the past, Football University has been an extremely helpful event, designed to assist women in increasing their football knowledge by learning from the pros. Presented by Barnes-Jewish and Washington University Orthopedics- Team physicians for the St. Louis Rams, this behind-the-scene look at the x’s and o’s of football is an exclusive opportunity for our budding female fans to fully prepare themselves for the 2009 season. Rams players, coaches and team physicians will be leading the discussion on the ins and outs of NFL football. For a $60 enrollment fee, “students” will receive a “behind-the-scenes” look and presentation at team headquarters, the Russell Training Facility in Earth City, an official St. Louis Rams tote bag, drinks and appetizers, and an opportunity to test out their new skills with a pair of complementary tickets to the October 11 home game against the Minnesota Vikings. Similar to years past, the St. Louis Rams hope these tips, insightful facts, and a night of fun will aid in continuing to expand their fan base. With a new era of coaching and many new faces on the roster, the Rams are anxious to establish a group ready to act as the 12th player and cheer on the promising 2009 team. This event does have a history of selling out, and with the exclusive opportunities and popular complementary gifts, the 2009 Football University is sure to be a hit. As always, the St. Louis Rams look to strengthen ties in the community. This year the St. Louis Rams, Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University Physicians will be sending a portion of the proceeds from Football University to the United Way, a national organization of local non-profit organizations which strive to improve the St. Louis community on a daily basis. In joint effort with the changes on the field, ladies, be sure to sign up for the 2009 Football University on September 21 and be part of the movement as the Rams look forward to a bright season. And consider it a notice Rams Fans, because suddenly, Sunday game time will be attracting a larger audience. For tickets call (314) RAMSTIX*1 ---
