With the start of the Rams first training camp under coach Steve Spagnuolo a little more than a week away, the team announced its practice schedule on Monday afternoon.

After a one-year hiatus from camp in St. Louis, the Rams are returning to the Russell Training Center for this year’s training sessions. All told, fans will have 32 opportunities to get an up close and personal look at the 2009 edition of the Rams.

Unlike in recent years, the Rams will practice in the morning and the afternoon for the bulk of camp with some evening practices and scrimmages sprinkled in.

Quarterbacks, rookies and selected others will report to St. Louis on July 29 with a pair of introductory workouts for them the following day. Those practices for the quarterbacks, rookies and selected veterans will be open to the public with the first workout from 8:15-9:30 a.m. The second one will take place from 2:15-3:30 p.m.

Also on July 30, the rest of the team will report to camp and full squad workouts kick off on July 31 with an open practice from 3-4:30 p.m. That lone practice on July 31 will be the first official practice of training camp with the full squad intact.

Two a days for the entire team will begin on Aug. 1 with the first practice from 8:15-10:30 a.m. and the second from 2:45-4:25. For most of the rest of camp, the team will follow that format for the majority practices.

On Aug. 7, the team will have its lone full squad scrimmage at nearby Lindenwood University at 6:30 p.m. That will follow an abbreviated morning practice at the Russell Training Center.

For the start of camp until Aug. 23, on days when the Rams practice there will be at least one open practice or scrimmage to the fans every day.

Weather and field conditions are evaluated daily, so all dates and times provided are subject to change. Limited parking will be available at the lot directly north of the Russell Training Center at no charge.  No parking will be allowed at area businesses or in the Russell Training Center parking lot.  Video cameras and alcohol are prohibited.

For up-to-date practice schedules, fans can call the Training Camp hotline at 314-516-8852.
