Update) Quick Hits
-
It’s relatively quiet here at the
Russell
Training
Center
today aside from the players
working hard in the weight room.
-
Tight end Billy Bajema, who the Rams have long had
interest in, arrived in town yesterday for a visit and is wrapping it up today.
As of this morning, negotiations on a contract hadn’t really even begun but that
doesn’t mean it won’t happen.
-
Bajema hasn’t been much of a pass catcher in his four
NFL seasons but he’s known as a good blocker, especially in the running
game.
-
Bajema is also still pretty young as he doesn’t turn
27 until Oct. 31. He’s also pretty darn smart, compiling a 3.7 GPA as a double
major in business and pre-med at
Oklahoma
State.
-
Tackle Orlando Pace is in
Baltimore
today for a visit with the
Ravens.
Baltimore
doesn’t have much
at the tackle position but Willie Anderson has made it clear he’d like to return
in 2009.
Anderson
and Pace are at
similar stages of their careers so it remains to be seen if the Ravens would
want both around.
-
Here’s hoping Pace lands on his feet, especially with
a contender. He deserves a chance to go out with a winner.
-
That’s it for now. I’ll have more later with any
updates.
