On the field they are offense and defense but on Tuesday night June 3rd, St. Louis Rams wide receiver Drew Bennett and his teammate, middle linebacker Will Witherspoon, will be playing side by side.  Bennett and Witherspoon are taking their game to Tropicana Lanes for the 12th Annual Bowl-a-RAM-a to benefit the Epilepsy Foundation of the St. Louis Region.

Bowl-a -RAM-a is the only fundraiser event that brings Rams players and fans together on a level playing field – the bowling alleys of Tropicana Lanes.  Hundreds of fans turn out each year to bowl alongside their favorite St. Louis Rams players and support the Epilepsy Foundation of the St. Louis region.

“Epilepsy can strike anyone at anytime,” said Offense Co-Captain Drew Bennett.  “It is the third most common neurological disorder in the U.S.   That’s why it is so important that people come out to join the St. Louis Rams in supporting the work of the Epilepsy Foundation.”

“I love bowling and Bowl-a-RAM-a lets me bowl with some terrific players – the people and families who come out to support the Epilepsy Foundation,” added Will Witherspoon, Defense Co-Captain of Bowl-a-RAM-a.   “Epilepsy tends to effect the very old and very young. We need to do our part to help our friends who are diagnosed with epilepsy so not another moment is lost to seizures.”

Education and advocacy for early diagnosis and treatment is an important part of the work of the Epilepsy Foundation of the St. Louis Region.  Bowl-a-RAM-a is the lead annual fundraiser for the accessibility, advocacy, referral and education work of the organization.  

Bowl-a-RAM-a 2008 will take place Tuesday, June 3 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Tropicana Lanes, 7960 Clayton Road.  Lane sponsorships for Bowl-a-RAM-a start at just $1,000 and include a VIP reception with players from the St. Louis Rams.  Individual tickets, which enable guests to bowl along with the Rams players, are $100 per person.  Observer tickets are just $50 per person.
