-Enters his second season as head coach Scott Linehan’s special teams coach.

-Has compiled an 18-year NFL coaching career with six NFL teams, most recently coaching special teams for the Cincinnati Bengals (1997-2002).

-Has spent time coaching special teams for the Arizona Cardinals (1994-1995), the New York Jets (1991-1993), the Philadelphia Eagles (1988-1990) and the Houston Oilers (1984-1985) also coaching the Oilers’ special teams.

-Prior to joining the Rams last season, spent four seasons as the head coach at Garfield High School in Seattle, Washington (2003-2006), where he was also head coach from 1973-1976. 

-Twice coached running backs for Washington (1977-1982, 1996) also coaching the special teams upon his return.

-Spent time coaching the running backs and special teams for Wyoming (1987), Purdue (1986) and the Los Angeles Express of the United States Football League (USFL, 1983-1984).

-Broke into coaching at Mercer Island High School in Mercer Island, Washington.

-Played college football at the University of Washington (1964-1965) and the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington (1967-1968), where he earned a bachelor of arts degree.

-A native of Fresno, California, he and his wife Arvella have three children, sons Kali and Kyle, and daughter, Genesis.
