Monday, April 14, 2008 Text Size Text Size Name: Mike Cox -Enters his second season on the Rams coaching staff and first as the assistant secondary coach. -Began his NFL career with the Rams as the defensive quality control/defensive line coach (2007). -Spent four seasons at Michigan State as the linebackers coach/recruiting coordinator (2003-2006). -Also coached the linebackers at Louisville (1998-2002) and Utah State (1995-1997). -Broke into coaching at his alma mater, Idaho, as the linebackers coach (1987-1994). -Still one of the Vandals’ all-time leading tacklers, racking up 252 tackles during his career at linebacker. -A native of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, he and his wife Jill have three children, sons Zac and Jake, and daughter Addison.
