Monday, April 7, 2008 Text Size Text Size Name: Jim Chaney -Enters his third season on the Rams coaching staff and first season coaching the Rams tight ends. -Began his NFL career as head coach Scott Linehan’s assistant offensive line coach (2006-2007). -Prior to joining the Rams, spent nine seasons at Purdue in several roles, serving as offensive coordinator for all nine seasons. -Also served as the offensive line coach/recruiting coordinator (1997-1998, 2002) and tight ends coach (1999-2001, 2003-2005). -Spent four years at Wyoming serving as a graduate assistant/tight ends coach (1993-1994) and offensive line coach/recruiting coordinator (1995-1996). -Broke into coaching with Cal State-Fullerton as the offensive line coach (1985-1987). -Spent a total of eight seasons at Cal State-Fullerton also serving as running backs coach/recruiting coordinator (1988), wide receivers coach/special teams coach/recruiting coordinator (1989-1990) and quarterbacks coach/offensive coordinator (1991-1992). -Played noseguard for Central Missouri State, earning all-conference honors as a senior. -A native of Holden, Missouri, he and his wife Lisa have two daughters, Elizabeth and Sara.
