-Begins his first season with the Rams in 2008 as the offensive line coach.

 

-Prior to joining the Rams, spent a year in the college ranks as the interim head coach at Drake University (2007).

 

-Spent six years in the NFL coaching the offensive line for the Arizona Cardinals (2006, 1993-assistant offensive line) and the Minnesota Vikings (2002-2005), also spending a season as the Vikings’ offensive coordinator (2005).

 

-Has 24 years of college coaching experience including his first head coaching job with Morehead State (1981-1983).

 

-Spent time as the offensive coordinator/offensive line coach at his alma mater, Iowa State (2000-2001, 1995-1997), Minnesota (1998-1999) and Missouri Western (1975-1976).

 

-Spent time as an assistant head coach at Colorado State (1989-1992) and Citadel (1984-1986).

 

-Broke into coaching as a graduate assistant with Iowa State (1974) and spent two seasons as the head coach at Leavenworth High School in Leavenworth, Kansas (1977-1978).

 

-He and his wife, Terri, have three children, son Matt and daughters Kate and Kylan and four grandchildren.

 

-Kylan was a standout basketball player and Pac-10 Conference honoree at Arizona State. She is the school’s second all-time leader in assists (399) and is 15th on the school’s career scoring list (1,024).
