Pending the location
of this year’s training camp, it’s possible the destination of that camp could
be the furthest the Rams travel to play any preseason games.
The team announced its all AFC opponent preseason schedule
on Thursday, a schedule that keeps the team in the
Midwest
for each of the four exhibition contests.
Opening the slate of
games is a trip to
Nashville
to play
Tennessee
during the week of Aug.
7-11. The Rams and Titans will meet for the first time since 2002.
After the preseason
opener, the Rams return home for a pair of game in consecutive weeks. The first
home game has the San Diego Chargers paying a visit to the Edward Jones Dome the
week of Aug. 14-18 tilt. The teams met in last season’s preseason.
The following week,
Ray Lewis and the Baltimore Ravens come to
St. Louis
on Aug. 21-25. It will be the first matchup of the
two teams in the preseason.
The Rams will once
again close out the preseason slate with the usual Governor’s Cup contest
against the Chiefs in
Kansas
City
on
either Aug. 28 or 29. The Rams will be defending the cup after winning 10-3 last
season.
Official dates and
times will be announced in the near future.
