The Rams and National City are teaming up to honor breast cancer survivors at halftime of the October 7 game versus the Arizona Cardinals. One-hundred breast cancer survivors will be chosen to participate in a halftime ceremony honoring the strength and courage of all survivors. The survivors and National City volunteers will create a human pink ribbon in support of the fight against breast cancer. Each survivor will receive two free tickets to the game and, with their
guest, will be invited to attend a special reception at the Edward Jones Dome
the Tuesday before the game. Survivors can be nominated by going to NationalCity.com/StLouisNomination, StLouisRams.com or My1033.com. The nomination process will close on Friday, September 7. The halftime ceremony is part of National City’s ongoing “Real Men Wear Pink” campaign, promoting breast cancer awareness and featuring Rams’ wide receiver Isaac Bruce as spokesperson. “There are two million breast cancer survivors in America—enough to fill the Edwards Jones Dome thirty times over,” said Bruce. “The survivors we’re honoring are a small handful of those who command our respect and admiration.” In addition to the halftime ceremony, the Rams and National City will ask fans to “Bring a Buck” to the October 7 game to aid in the fight against breast cancer. All money collected will be donated directly to National Breast Cancer Foundation. The “Real Men Wear Pink” campaign is part of National City’s comprehensive program to fight breast cancer. Through the sale of its Diamond Edition checking and credit card products, a portion of each transaction goes to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, with special incentive contributions during the month of October. Since inception, the Diamond Edition products have enabled National City to donate more than $1 million to the Foundation, whose mission is to save lives by raising awareness of breast cancer through education and providing mammograms for those in need.
