“He had an outstanding workout at the combine, he ran a sub 4.5 in that work out. After that, I went down to Florida State and had a chance to work with him. The young man has tremendous toughness. Talking to Mickey Andrews, the long time assistant coach and defensive coordinator down there, he said he one of the hardest working and one of the toughest guys that they have ever had at Florida State. You see that, it shows up on the film that way. He is a quiet young man that comes from a very humble background. We are excited to have him here and we look for his presence to be felt early on, and give him a chance to compete. We will see how that all unfolds as we go through training camp.” “When you are looking at safeties you have to have all of it. I don’t want a guy that is just a run defender. This game is obviously played in space and there is a lot of passing and running. He is very tough, and very aggressive in the run; that is probably what he does best. But when you look at that speed that he had at the combine, and the workout, he can play in space, so I don’t think he really has any limitations whether it be run or pass. He may be a little too aggressive, but we will have to filter that and make sure he is doing the right things and bring him along that way.” ON THE RAMS ROSTER BEING THIN AT SECONDARY:
