ON BEING DRAFTED BY THE ST. LOUIS RAMS:
“I’m excited right now and very overwhelmed.  As I look back on my life, I am a very blessed person.”

ON BEING THE 19TH OVERALL SELECTION IN THE 2005 NFL DRAFT:
“There were people who had me going higher in the draft, but you can not listen to everything you hear. I had to just rely on my play on the field and be patient until I was drafted.”

ON BEING COMPARED TO RAMS OT ORLANDO PACE:
“It‘s an honor to be compared to Orlando Pace. He is one of the greatest offensive tackles in the NFL. He is on top of his game, I can learn a lot from him; it’s great to be compared to him.”

ON PLAYING RIGHT TACKLE:
“I played right tackle in college when we were in the split tight formation. I was not enthused about playing right talcke at first, but I think it’s because I’ve been used to playing on the left side. I never had the opportunity to play a lot on the right side, but the Rams believe I can do it, I believe I can do it, and I’m ready. This will be an adjustment for me, but with some hard work, good teaching, and patience I can do the job. Having Orlando Pace on the other side will make it easier as well.”

ON HIS PRE-DRAFT VISIT TO ST. LOUIS:
“The visit was nice. Coach Martz is a great coach, I met with some of the assistant coaches and players. St. Louis seems like a wonderful place and hopefully I’ll be there for a while.”

ON BLOCKING FOR MARC BULGER, MARSHALL FAULK AND STEVEN JACKSON:
“It’s going to be great. They are guys that you talk about a lot amongst friends and it’s going to be great to be on the field playing with those guys.”

ON HIS INTENSITY LEVEL:
“I would say that my intensity is not a problem. It’s not something I need work on. My style of play is just laid back, but it’s not anything to worry about.”

ON HIS FAMILIARITY WITH THE RAMS:
“I’ve watched the Rams on TV, they have some great players and are a great team and I look forward to playing with the St Louis Rams.”

ON HIS COUSIN, RAMS SCOUT BRAD HOLMES:
“Brad and I are very close, I’ve talked to him a lot since we were kids and we have a great relationship. I told him not to give me any hints if the Rams were interested. I wanted to keep everything in suspense.”
