On being disappointed being drafted on the second day:  “I just kept my mind even-keeled.  I really did put too much on where I might go because I really didn’t have any bearing over that.  To go to St. Louis where there is a lot of ASU connection, it just made everything great.”

On knowing Adam Archuleta:  “I have talked to him when he has come back to ASU and I have worked out with him a couple of times, but other than that, that is pretty much it.”

On knowing Shaun McDonald:  “That is my best friend.  We hung out all the time at Arizona State.”

On talking to him today:  “I talked to him about 10 minutes before you all called me.  I was talking to him about that no one had picked me yet and about all the people that were going.  We had always talked about me coming to St. Louis and how that would be cool to have somebody that you know that is already on the team.”

On what he brings to the table as a safety:  “As a player, I feel that I bring a lot of different things to the table-- coverage ability, run stopping ability, a player that can cover all over the field.  As far as running down plays from behind, I play with a high tempo.  I can also play special teams.  I feel I can contribute to the offense having good field position, and to the defense by stopping offenses.”

On playing behind Aeneas Williams:  “I don’t know the situation, but to come in behind someone like Aeneas Williams who is an all-pro and be able to learn some from his greatness on the field just makes me feel real good to come in and learn from and mentor under like that.”

On being a fan of Williams in Arizona:  “He was one of the bright spots of all time for the Cardinals.  He was a highly-ranked corner and you always have to show respect, especially when you are a defensive back who always respect the other defensive backs that are great.”

On it being somber in Arizona due to Tillman death:  “A lot of people are talking about it.  It is the first thing that comes up when you speak about football.  It is sad to hear that a great football player and a great man had to die.  I just try to show my respect to him.”

On why he left school early:  “Different things.  I have daughter who is going to be four on the second of May, and I own a small business in Arizona, which is landscaping, and I think that I am ready to splash into the NFL and make some noise.”
