The NFL Europe League will conclude its 10th season on Saturday when the Berlin Thunder face the Rhein Fire in World Bowl X at the Rheinstadion in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The World Bowl will be televised live in the United States on FOX at 12:00 p.m. (ET) with CURT MENEFEE and BRIAN BALDINGER calling the action.

The Berlin Thunder will attempt to become the first team in league history to win back-to-back championships, earning a spot in the World Bowl with a 27-7 home victory over the Frankfurt Galaxy in Week 10 play this past weekend.

Arizona Cardinals running back ANTHONY WHITE led the attack for the Thunder, rushing for 197 yards and two touchdowns. He opened the scoring with a one-yard touchdown run on Berlin’s first possession. Then in the fourth quarter, White, who averaged 7.0 yards per carry in the game, ran for a five-yard touchdown, giving Berlin a 24-7 lead.

“I said when we won our first game against Amsterdam in Week 4 that I thought this team was on the rise,” White said. “ This feels great, but we will not be completely satisfied until we win the big one.”

Denver Broncos quarterback TODD HUSAK completed 20 of 40 attempts for 215 yards and one touchdown for Berlin.

“I came here to win the World Bowl,” Husak said. “Our performance today put us in position to accomplish that goal. Next week we just have to execute in every phase of the game and we should come out on top.”

Berlin’s win over Frankfurt gave each team an identical 6-4 record and a 1-1 mark in the two games between the teams (the Galaxy earned a 27-24 overtime victory in Week 1). Berlin qualifies for the World Bowl because of point differential in the two head-to-head meetings (+13).

The Rhein Fire finished the season on top of the standings with a 7-3 record. But in Düsseldorf, Germany this past weekend, it was the Amsterdam Admirals who earned a 28-10 victory over Rhein.

Once again it was a pair of Tennessee Titans who led the way. Quarterback KEVIN DAFT completed 13 of 21 attempts for 170 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. Running back RAFAEL COOPER rushed for 124 yards on 18 carries, including a 77-yard touchdown run.

“Rafael is a very dangerous running back,” said Amsterdam head coach BART ANDRUS. “He can do things that not every player at that position can do. He was a great asset for our team, battling through injuries and finishing the season strong.”

In Barcelona, Spain, the Scottish Claymores concluded their season with a 27-24 win over the F.C. Barcelona Dragons.

Scotland quarterback JAMES BROWN made his first start of the season, passing for 274 yards and one touchdown. The former Texas star also added 22 yards rushing on the day.

For F.C. Barcelona, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver RICHMOND FLOWERS enjoyed his best game of the season, finishing with six receptions for 141 yards, including touchdown catches of 19 and 61 yards.

"It is hard to see this season come to a close,” Flowers said. “We did the best that we could and that’s all we can ask from ourselves. I will remember this as one of the best experiences of my life – to have the opportunity to see Europe and play the game that I love." ---
