Did it come around fast for you? “For me it did, it got here in a hurry. It’s exciting and you like it to be that way. We’re a good team and we’ve got some outstanding expectations, so it’s time to get back to work.” On veteran presence on team: “I think when you’ve got a veteran team, there’s a tendency to take things for granted and think that things come automatic, and that’s the thing you guard against. Really the intent of this camp is to get guys grounded in the fundamentals and the skills that they do so well.” Are you concerned with the personality of this team? “Oh, you’re always concerned with that because no matter how much character, or how tough you are, or how much of a perfectionist you are, it’s just the nature of things that as you continue to do them, they become kind of mundane and you take things for granted, and I’m concerned with that.” Last year you had the theme of “Max Q” and everyone said they wanted to go to the Super Bowl, is there a theme this year? “Max Q continues to be the theme of this team, and it always will be. Max Q was never intended as a gimmick, what Max Q describes is the coming together of everybody at their very best at the same time. It’s a level of performance that we’re all trying to get to, so we will always use Max Q as our moniker.” Are you guys still saying that the Super Bowl is the goal? “I think we’re a very talented team, and we’ve got great expectations, as do a lot of other teams in this league, I don’t think we’re any different than anybody else in that respect. I think it’s realistic to talk about having an excellent year.” ---
